Mediocre

No Ordinary Billionaire (The Sinclairs, #1)No Ordinary Billionaire by J.S. Scott
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I picked up this Audible book as a Kindle Unlimited selection. I have read other books by this author, but it’s been awhile. I remember really liking those, but maybe my tastes have changed.

This book tells the story of Dante, a police detective that has returned to his hometown after being shot and witnessing the murder of his partner. He is under the care of Sarah, a beautiful young doctor that is haunted by her past as well.

It doesn’t take much time for sparks to fly. There is definitely an “instalove” feel to this story. In no time, these two are spending all of their time together.

Of course, Sarah is super innocent and Dante is just the man to bring her out of her shell. He is also “super-cop”, ready to save the day. Add in a serial killer/stalker, and you’ve got a wholly over-the-top read.

All in all, this was an “okay” read. There was plenty of cheesy dialogue and a fantastical storyline. Sometimes that’s alright, but I wasn’t in the mood. For me, this one was mostly “meh”.
